1. What is Energy Healing?
A perceptible energy field lies in and around all living things. Each human, animal, plant and mineral is not only comprised of physical components like muscle, tissue and living cells, we also have at our very core, and around us a magnetic energy field that constantly feeds us. It is the source of our daily sustenance. It moves like a flowing river to each part of our body, feeding our organs as well as fueling our thoughts and emotions. We are energy in motion, constantly shifting and changing.
Often in our lives, we experience an energy block, where we stop the flow of energy to an area of the body. It is this blocked energy that can become unbalanced, distorted or "dis-eased." The energy healer's ability to perceive and help correct this blocks and distortions can restore health and enhance physical mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.
There are two underlying presumptions about energy healing: (1) the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies of each individual are interconnected (one cannot be touched without having a ripple effect on the others (2) we are responsible for our own healing and well-being (no one heals anyone else).
The energy healer is a partner in the client's healing process - a committed listener, a mirror. In assisting the client, the healer uses a variety of techniques as appropriate to each person. The energy healer assists clients in bringing our their beauty and wholenss, and reminding their energy bodies how to heal, which in turn is reflected in the persons physical, emotional, mental and spiritual life.
2. What kinds of issues may be addressed when working with an Energy Healing Practitioner?
Any physical, mental, emotional or spiritual issue may be addressed at your healing session. From Addictions, to asthma, phobias, emotional traumas and relationship issues. The healing you desire begins with your intention to heal.
3. How often do people get Energy Healings, what is recommended?
One session usually every three to four weeks will allow changes to take place within your life. Since the energy body is the template for the physical body, it takes a little while for the changes made in the energy template to reflect back into your physical body.
4. What does an Energy Healing session look and feel like?
The person receiving the treatment lies down on their back, fully clothed, on a massage table. The energy healing practitioner begins at the clients' feet and gently rests their hands on the feet. Energy is being modulated through the healer to the client from the universal energy field around us. Graudally the healer moves up the clients' body to the ankles and to the knees, all the while moving energy through that part of the body, like a fresh river of energy flowing. Then the healer moves station by station up the body, allowing the energy to flow freely....it may feel like warm heat flowing, or perhaps the client may only perceive a general sense of well-being and calmness.
5. What kinds of results might a person experience by receiving Energy Healing?
Physical symptoms may lesson or completely clear up, relationship issues will shift and change, things that appeared to be at an impasse within the client's life begin to shift and evolve. Perhaps situations may become clearer and solutions more readily available to the client.
6. What kind of training does an Energy Healing Practitioner go through?
Anyone who desires to study the Energy Body may do so. A long term program (3 years or more) is advisable, as the healer also goes through their own process of clearing and healing during the training. There are several schools within the United States which offer such training.
7. Where can a person go to learn more about receiving an Energy Healing, or find a school to learn how to do it?
A three year program of Energy Healing is available in Kansas City, at a school called Core Star. This is where Lynn Johnson recevied her training.
8. Can anyone learn how to become an Energy Healing Practitioner?
Yes, anyone who has the desire to create health and well-being, and returning to a place of wholeness is invited to attend. |
